One of the best things about solar is how little attention it needs. There are no moving parts on your roof and no fuel to buy. Still, a few simple habits help your system keep producing its best.

1. Keep the panels reasonably clean

Dust, bird droppings and fallen leaves block sunlight. Rain washes away a lot of it, but during dry months a gentle rinse with plain water helps.

Safety first: don't climb onto your roof without proper safety gear. Rinse from the ground if you can, or ask us about a cleaning and check-up.

2. Watch out for new shade

Even partial shade on a few panels can noticeably reduce output. Keep overhanging branches trimmed, and keep in mind that new structures or growing trees nearby can change how much sun your roof gets.

3. Glance at your inverter now and then

Most inverters show daily production on their display or in a monitoring app. You don't need to check it daily — but a sudden, unexplained drop in output is often the first sign that something needs attention.

4. Give the battery and inverter room to breathe

Batteries and inverters last longer in a cool, dry, well-ventilated spot away from direct sunlight. Keep the area around them clear of boxes and clutter.

5. Check in after a typhoon

After strong winds or heavy rain, look (from a safe spot) for anything that seems loose or out of place — panels, railings, conduit. If something looks wrong, don't touch it. Turn nothing on or off you're unsure about, and call us.

Book a yearly check-up

A periodic check-up keeps small issues from becoming big ones: tightening connections, checking breakers and surge protection, cleaning panels and reviewing performance. Our installations come with a 3-year service warranty and a 15-year panel warranty, and we're here for maintenance and support after the install.
